Writing to the alert log

The following PL/SQL package can be used to add your own custom entries to the alert log.

dbms_system.ksdwrt(2,'A line of text');

Will write the text to the alert log.
Use 1 instead of 2 to write to the trace file
Use 3 to write to both.
